What we’re doing:

Tropical Petography is joining with an international group of pet businesses to make a difference in our local communities. Each organization has selected an animal shelter, rescue or animal-related group and will be collecting donations to benefit them and their staff this holiday season.

We’ve selected the local group: Mackay Pet Rescue Inc because of all the hard work they do saving the lives of abandoned pets in our region, in particular the many litters of kittens and their Mums that have been saved in the last few months.

 Why it matters:

• The wellbeing of pets and pet-loving families is our shared mission. Pet parents support pet businesses all year long, to pamper and care for their pets. Pet professionals want to give back in a way our pet-loving customers value – by helping pets in need in our own community.

• Holiday donations get the New Year off to a great start! Summer puppy and kitten season is winding up and rescue organisations are gearing up for the coming year. Pet businesses get that and want to help!

• Food, treats, toys, and cleaning supplies are an endless need. Pets need nutritious food, play, and enrichment, and every day is cleaning day.

• Money saved through donated pet essentials is a resource that can be spent on community pet programs, medical care, and enriching the lives of shelter pets!

• Giving to animal shelters and rescues is a pawsome way to say thank-you to the animal care staff and volunteers who save their lives, get them healthy, and find them forever homes.

Tropical Petography Christmas Mini Sessions at Petbarn Mackay on Saturday the 26th November.
